Say No More
At the end of time when earth's story is written
Our lives will read as the passing seasons
Spring comes to is as young green buds
Bloom to fragrant blossoms
So we meet in youth to learn and love together
Though thin and lean at first
We find our strength from sun and rain to plant
our roots in mother earth
Summer hastens by as fair weather lifts our hearts
And too quickly we have born our fruit
They to wait heir idle season
While we lose our coat to fight the cold
(But for the warmth of harvest time)
Through wind, hail, sleet and snow
The scars of time and storm have left their marks
Our branches bent, our bark charred
Yet beauty shines from every limb
You ask, "What point is there?
Why not make this circle cease?"
And I.. If you have lived, loved, and given all
Say no more, go die in peace."
